- Saguaro Forms and Cactus Flowers. Backlit art glass mural adapted in 1973 from a.c. 1927 design by Frank Lloyd Wright -

Frank Lloyd Wright (1867-1959) invented a new architecture in the U.S. - he was inspired by native living concentrated on the fireplace as a meeting place. He was a multi-genius and worked as architect, editor, art-dealer and designer.

F.L.Wright created Saguaro in 1927/28 as one of a series of unpublished magazine covers.
Saguaro (Carnegiea gigantea) is a cactus that may grow up to 20 m.
"Saguaro", the art glass mural, now decorates the lobby of the Arizona Biltmore resort in Phoenix.
