An Educa jigsaw puzzle

The Tower is the Campanile of St. Mark. It is almost 100 m high. The first tower was built back in the 10th century but collapsed due to some problems during a restoration in 1902. They started rebuilding the tower according to its original plans on a 25th April and it was sanctified on the 25th April 1912.

On top of the pinnacle is a guilded figure of archangel Gabriel

The 25th April is the nameday of apostke and evangelist Mark. His relics lie for worship in the worldfamous dome St. Mark.

This is the church San Giorgio Maggiore.

It was created by Andrea Palladio (*1508 - +1580).
There was a parental church built in the 8th century which was given to the Order of St. Benedict. The monks extended the areal but in the early 13th century an earthquake destroyed the church. They started to rebuild it but it collapsed again in the 15th century. This was when Mr. Palladio entered the stage...

Development process of "Venice at Dusk" - completed

 Photography by Susanne Kremer

Last year I decided to buy this jigsaw puzzle called "Venice at Dusk".
Usually EDUCA provides a cut that makes it difficult for me to assemble skies like this.
Yesterday I decided to give it a try. Let's see what will happen...

I started assorting :-)

It was the best idea ever to assort those pieces. The quality is very good, the pieces fit in a proper way. Some gaps left before I start assembling the sky... I love it!
