Bayeux Tapestry - Cavalry of the Normans

The Tapestry of Bayeux is a 70 m-long Embroidery, handcrafted in the 11th century (!)
 It celebrates the conquest of England by William, Duke of Normandy and  the victory of the Battle at Hastings (14th Oct. 1066). If you want to find out more please visit the official "Tapisserie de Bayeux"-website.
