Development process of a 2000pcs. jigsaw puzzle Harry Potter Collage - updated 9th Januar 2025 and completed

 Oh yes, I know ... James Webb is paused, a wildlife jigsaw puzzle is on halt, but here we go with a 2000pcs. jigsaw puzzle with a wonderful collage of the characters - good and bad and evil - of the Harry Potter Universe.

It is a so-called "synchron jigsaw puzzle event" that takes place at my forum and I couldn't resist and bought this puzzle especially for this event :-)

October and November are always tough and busy months, leaving the house when it's still dark and coming back from work when it's already dark. But at least I can assemble this one with the light of our LEDs ;-) - updated 28th November

Here we are on the 1st of December

This success within hours was pure, relaxing magic: a sunday without thinking about work, just assembling puzzles and enjoying the 1st Advent

While assembling the advent calendars, I also found time for some pieces yesterday

Halted again during the assemblage of the advent calendars and the Megamarathon as well, but it's complete! 

It's magic!!! 😅

These are the final 3 pieces - and just for fun I made a jigsaw puzzle of the pic I took and transferred it into a custom made jigsaw puzzle by Ravensburger. 

... I named it "You couldn't think of anything better?"

Today friends visited us and we decided to assemble something "quick and easy to handle"

What a mistaken belief!!

It took three experienced jigsaw puzzle enthusiasts, three pairs of eyes and almost 3 hours to assemble this "quick and wasy to handle" jigsaw puzzle!

Yes, this is the most challenging jigsaw puzzle ever!

Development process of a brainteaser ... 2000pcs. completed!!

Just a small question: how come that I decided to assemble this???

Lucky me, I am not alone. A friend and me decided to assemble it simultanously which means: we started the same day - mark the 23rd of January! And several members of the german jigsaw puzzle forum join us.

Here we go:

 Needed to assort the remaining pieces again:

faces, funny hats, banners with names, tree and "everything else"

 

a few calories are desparately needed :-)

 

At the end of a freezing January the frame was ready to be filled with faces, 

branches and "everything else" 

This will be a tough, challenging thing - 4th of February

 

Last weekend I managed to fill some "gaps"

This weekend (18th/19th Febr.) I completed the names and hats

Not easy, but I managed to complete the lower row of green (26th Feb.)
