Cathedral St. Peter, Vatican city

The Cathedral was built 1506-1623 and the Dome was designed and constructed by Michelangelo.
You can see a part of the colonnades on the left side and in the middle a fountain which is 14 metres high.

On the right side is a part of the Palace as well as the Rooftop of the Sistine Chapel.

The Jigsaw Puzzle is dated 1994 and is almost 20 years old...

The Lybian Sibyl by Michelangelo Buonarotti (1475-1564)

A Sibyl is a prophetess, named after Varro, an ancient historian. According to one of his books, there are ten sibyls. Each of them bears an attribute regarding her provenance. The lybian sibyl foretold the coming of the day, when everything, that is hidden, should be revealed.

The sistine chapel was restored 1980-1994.
