Well known for its view of the Zugspitze, the highest mountain of Germany (Elevation 2962 m), and the Great sky jumping hill. A world cup competition is held there every year on January 1, as a part of the Four Hills Tournament.

A ASS jigsaw puzzle dated back to the 1980ies with an excellent quality, except of the missing piece. Picture taken from the archive "Bildarchiv R. Kirsch, Garmisch."

Wallgau in front of the Wetterstein
47° 31′ 0″ N, 11° 17′ 0″ E

Photo taken by R. Kirsch - Ravensburger Jigsaw Puzzle (2003)

Wallgau is a pittoresque municipality in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany.
The Wetterstein is a mountain range in the northern Alps. On the other side of the peak is Tyrol, Austria. The highest peak of the Wetterstein is the Zugspitze.

The family of Magdalena Neuner lives in Wallgau.

The beautiful white church is named after Apostle James the Greater (german: St. Jakobus)

 1000 Pieces

Church of our Lady, Dresden, Germany
(photography taken by Kirsch)

The colours are really strange as the illumination of the church is similar to the so-called "blue hour", when the sun has already set, but the sky is covered with sunlit pink clouds... seems like there was a bit too much work on the digital data :-D .... anyway, it was pure fun assembling this Ravensburger jigsaw puzzle.

Just take a look at the depth of focus. You can detect so many details on just these twelve pieces
