Completed 28th January 2026

Did you ever feel the need to rescue a jigsaw puzzle even though it is not your main theme?

I assembled the amazing shaped wooden jigsaw puzzle (Turtle) a few weeks ago - bought at ALDI and given to me as a gift. After a while I strolled through our ALDI store and saw another wooden jigsaw puzzle with Disney princesses. 2 packs. Price reduced by 50%. Still unsure.

Last week it was still there, still reduced, but only 1 left. Maybe it was a sign, maybe not, who knows. Now it's mine and I had fun assembling those 181 ornated pieces

Happy birthday HRH Charles, Prince of Wales

Today is the 70th birthday of HRH Charles, Prince of Wales

He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history. He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958.

Obviously he'll be King one day, but we hope that the reign of  HM Queen Elizabeth II will last some more years.
