The King and Queen depicted are James I. (1566-1625) and his Queen Anne.
Rebuilt in the 12th century after the demolition of several wooden bridges, the stone bridge was the only way to pass the river Thames.
In the Middle of the 19th century, a new bridge was constructed and the old London Bridge had to be destroyed due to her age (600 years) and technical lacks.
