The Temperate Palmhouse at the Royal Botanic Garden, Edinburgh

The Palmhouse was built 1858/60 by Robert Matheson. Please find out more on the official website of the RBGE -I remember that I visited these Gardens once  (I have to check my photographies from 2005).

The Wentworth Wooden Jigsaw Puzzle was made approx. 1999 - due to a note I found in the box - and is still in excellent condition. It contains several Whimsies related to gardening :-)

I really love these finger exercises!

Under construction: a 2000pcs-wooden jigsaw puzzle - update 3rd February

This is a so-called "ArtPuzzle" made of Plywood - and made in Switzerland. I've assembled many of them in the past years, because they have pieces that fit perfectly.

As you may see: there are several modern portraits added to a vintage painting. This picture was custom made by Litraton (Hamburg, Germany) to surprise enthusiasts who celebrated several jigsaw puzzle parties held in the past years. These meetings were held to introduce the company "ArtPuzzle". The company "ArtPuzzle" does not exist anymore - it was re-started in 2012/2013 with a new name: Sharelock Puzzle.
This jigsaw puzzle counts approx. 2000 pieces and will be fun for many, many days :-D
The original box does not exist anymore. There's no picture except a digital one.

Let's see what'll happen, because I never assembled a wooden jigsaw puzzle with so many pieces and several cuts. It is on loan and will travel to another enthusiast afterwards.

***

Many, many pieces are cut to Whimsies - I collect them on one side of my table and turned them to the unprinted side to show them to you:

Just started in the late afternoon:

Oh, by the way: the picture on top with the completed jigsaw puzzle wasn't taken by me, but a friend of my german forum.
