"Adoration of the Magi" approx. 1442
by Giovanni di Paolo (1403-1482)

According to the Gospel of Matthew, three Magi, guided by a star, found the newborn Christ and laid gifts before him. Artists throughout the 15th century elaborated considerably upon this biblical account, devoting particular attention to the Magi’s entourage, which gave them an opportunity to depict the splendor of contemporary aristocratic life.

This masterpiece is on display in the Cleveland Museum of Art *link*

Development process: "Venezia" by Dominic Davison - 3000 pcs. - completed

Seven members of the german jigsaw puzzle board started to assemble this wonderful view of a venetian canal, painted by Dominic Davison. We call it "synchronized assembling" and we started simultaneously on the 9th October :-) - each member assembles this puzzle in his/her own speed. You can see all documentaries here

My first intermediate result: the sky, the reflections in the canal and the yellow house:

Clementoni  offers good quality and a very sharp print.
It's not really easy, but fun to assemble it! :-)
