Jigsaw puzzles around the world - completed 2nd September 2016

2016 started with a nice picture of Port Jackson

A friend from the german forum inspired me to 'travel' around the world using jigsaw puzzles from my stock.
Why not? :-)

I started to paint a sketch of the continents

and marked a red dot in the southeast of Australia. And another red dot for Shenondoah National Park, USA. And seven dots for all the other Parks shown on the 2000pcs-jigsaw puzzle.

Yesterday I finished the Park Postcards and marked the chronological order of completion:

Next station: Miss Liberty, New York City

...but how to get there? By car, by train or plane?
This was the moment when my small blue globetrotter came to 'life' :-))

She jumped into the Pacific ocean, swam along...

passed Panama

and came ashore in New York City :-)

2nd February: Heading off from New York City to Italy

12th February: off we go, from Italy to France

14th February
... and back again

O' sole mio :-)

... now it's time to come out of the venetian canals and to 'walk like an egyptian'

from the pyramids directly to fantasy island

and back to earth on 3rd March

next stop: Africa :-)
the small blue Avatar travels by container ship and zeppelin

next stop: Japan

Brazil, we're on the way

another african adventure

and now it's time for a russian monastery

let's go north

From North to South to celebrate a special birthday:

flying over Africa and Asia/India to explore the Leopard in Wildlife

next stop: island of Patmos. The place where St. John wrote the Book of Revelation.

the four horsemen of the Apocalypse came over on four horses:
a white, a red, a black and a pale horse. Those horses are portrayed
on this stunning 2000-pc-jigsaw puzzle.

next stop: Chicago, late 19th century

and back again from Chicago to Paris

From Paris to Hongkong

unfortunately too many pieces were missing. I broke and looked for something new:

 from Hongkong to Myconos

while Myconos is still under construction, the Avatar had a short trip to New Zealand

next station: London

let's travel to Egypt to visit Tutankhamon

Next step: Vienna

The tiny avatar travels on top of a double-decker airplane to Canada :-)

travelling back to Europe again to visit some 'small' jigsaw puzzles

Travelling through space and time to see how the vikings land on St. Ives beach (9th c.)

and back to earth to find an end of a miraculous travel.
I'll go back to Australia to visit Sydney - this is where I started 8 months ago.

 29 places to see,
28 interstations,
5 continents,
2 places not of this world,
2 sculptures,
12 animals,
1 Queen & 1 King
and 1 helicopter

thank you for your company :-)
